Who am I? Kristin Molloy

 

When is your birthday? March 19, 1990

 

where were you born? I was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia

 

Do you recall any interesting stories regarding your birth? I was born dead. My mother was also temporarily dead at my birth. I came out the wrong way and was suffocated, the doctor pronounced me deceased and I started breathing

 

What is your earliest memory? Singing with my Grandfather

 

Who was the most influential person to you as a child? That's hard...My entire family is extremely influential throughout my entire life. My mom as she was a single mother for the first few years of my life I think...But my grandparents are pretty close!

 

How would your parent(s) describe you as a child? Why? They said I was a good child, I never got into trouble and rarely talked back. The only thing they ever complained about was my vivid imagination and my love of singing...loudly....over and over....regardless of what time it was.

 

Did you have any pets as a child? What kind? Yes, Cats!! Muffin and Mick!

 

What did you do during the summertime? I would go on walks with my grandfather, and just play outside

 

What was your favorite game? Super Mario Brothers!

 

Who was your first best friend? Brandon and Nicole and Ashley

 

Did you have any nicknames? Sure did! Kris, Kissy Kissy, Kissy Kissy Poo Poo...it goes on

 

What were you most afraid of as a child? Spiders...still am

 

Do you recall any interesting stories related to you by any of your elder relatives that you have never forgotten and you think are worth telling to this audience? My grandfather was chased by a polar bear, he lived on Sable Island (A small island off the coast of Nova Scotia) and was bit on the butt by a Sable Island pony. My grandmother used to pretend to be dead on the side of the road in her rural community....until a doctor stopped

 

Describe you parents. What were they like? My parents are amazing, They've always been there for me and support me through everything I want to do.

 

Where did you attend high school? Cole Harbour District High School in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia (Graduated 2008)

 

Who was your best friend? Are you still in touch with them? Ashley, I talk to her daily.

 

What was your favorite subject to study? English...creative writing mainly

 

What was your favorite sport? Love watching hockey and NASCAR

 

How would you describe yourself as a student, both socially and academically? I was a good student, didn't skip class and always did my work. Socially...I was part of the 'nerd' group but I wouldn't have changed that for the world. I knew tons of people and tons of people knew me...I was just there aha.

 

What did you like most about school? Least? I loved going to History and English classes as well as seeing my friends, I hated math and always felt like a failure

 

What sort of extracurricular activities did you participate in as a teen? I worked when I was 16...I was in the Halifax County Girls Choir as well as my local church choir

 

What was your favorite music/band/dance in high school? Avenged Sevenfold, KISS, Backstreet Boys....that is a weird combination... 

 

What was your first job? Cashier at a local grocery store

 

What was your best job? Customer Service Specialist at a local electronics store

 

What was your worst job? Cashier at a local grocery store

 

What is the longest amount of time you have ever stayed with one company? What was your position there? Just over 7 years.....I was a cashier/customer service representative/supervisor

 

What would be your ideal job? I am currently going through college to be an Early Childhood Educator. I would love to work with children and one day own my own daycare as well I wish to eventually become a published author

 

What does the word “family” mean to you? Support, love, fun, caring, important. Family is everything to me

 

What is your relationship with your parents like today? My relationship with my parents is great! We argue occasionally but that is expected. It's never bad, just little disagreements like music and stuff like that.

 

Do you have siblings? How many, are they older or younger, and what are their sexes? I have a brother, he is nine years younger than me

 

How are your relationships with your siblings? We are the closest siblings you could ever meet

 

Who are you closest to in your family? My entire family is extremely close....Honestly we are all in each others business and I would die for any single one of them with no questions asked.

 

Who do you admire most in your family and why? My grandfather and grandmother. Grampy, because he suffered for years with Esophagus Cancer. He was the strongest man I ever met and I would be nothing without the man who always told me to let my imagination run wild and Nana as she is the strongest woman in the world...of course I'm biased but it is the truth. She looked after Grampy right up until his dying day and immediately continued to look after every single person in this family. She is the nicest, sweetest woman who is and always has been my shoulder to lean on. She is the best anybody could ever ask for

 

Have you lost any family members to death? I have lost a couple. Great grandparents and grandparents alike

 

If so, what was your relationship to them and how did their death affect you/your family?  The main two I am thinking about are Great-nan and Grampy (Great nan was 98 at her death and she had 10% kidney function for the last 10+ years of her life. Grampy was 75 and died of cancer) To this very day their death affects every moment of my life, especially Grampy's

 

What is your most memorable travel experience? In October 2012 I won a cruise off of a local radio station (Q 104). It was the KISS Kruise 2 with yes you guessed it KISS

 

What’s the farthest from home you’ve ever been? Mexico on the cruise

 

What is the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you? My entire life is a joke

 

What was your most rebellious moment? I was 6/7 years old and I stole a blue dog sticker off of my teachers desk because she gave me a yellow circle...I felt like a badass

 

What is your happiest memory? My life has normally been very happy but I think April 8, 1999 when I became a big sister

 

Your saddest? April 26, 2008 at 3:21 pm when my grandfather passed away

 

Whose biggest fan are you? Avenged Sevenfold......no question

 

What do you like to do in your spare time? Write, listen to music, doodle, play video games (PS3), destroy my life with facebook....like Candy Crush ughhhhh

 

What is your greatest fear? Spiders and being alone for the rest of my life

 

What is your greatest hope? To live my life to the fullest and be loved

 

What do you think happens after death? I think we go somewhere.....heaven or hell but its what we want it to be....

 

What place does religion have in your life? Not a huge place. I'm Catholic but I disagree with a lot. I believe there something out there and I like that idea but hey....

 

If there is a heaven, what do you imagine it to be like? Happy and painless

 

If you were re-born as an animal, what would you want to be? CHEETAH...I love those kitties!

 

Do you have any phobias? Spiders

 

What are the main lessons you’ve learned in life? It isn't always easy and it sucks a lot of the time...but you have to live for the good moments. They're the reason to wake up in the morning and love life.
